Criteria

  • Investing less than Rs. 10 lakh in equipment qualifies as a microbusiness.
  • When an organisation invests more than Rs. 10 lakh but less than Rs. 2 crore on equipment, it is considered a small firm.
  • An organisation that invests more than Rs. 2 crore but less than Rs. 5 crore in equipment is considered a medium firm.

The Directorate of Industries of the State Government administers SSI registration on behalf of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. The major goal of SSI registration is to maintain a comprehensive database of SSIs in India and to assist businesses in qualifying for various government subsidies. Udyam Registration also offers an online application for SSI/MSME registration.

Here is how to register for SSI or MSME online:

  • Visit the Udyam Registration website at "https://udyamregistration govieJayamitocistration espac."
  • Enter the "Aadhar number" and "Entrepreneur's Name" and select the "Validate" option.
  • Enter the PAN card number and the OTP that was issued to the mobile number associated with your Aadhar card.
  • The application form will open, and you may fill it out with information like the company's address, bank account information, the number of employees, the amount invested in machinery and plant, etc.
  • Once the application has been submitted, input the CAPTCHA and the mobile number associated with the Aadhar card. Once the application has been submitted, a UDYAM Registration number will be generated.
  • After the information on the MSME application form has been verified, it takes two days for that information to be verified, at which point one can get the MSME certificate by entering their mobile number and the OTP that was issued to their mobile device.

  • A replica of the directors' PAN cards
  • Electricity and water bills (business location)
  • Directors' passport-sized photos
  • Copy of Property Documents (If Owned Property)
  • A copy of the directors' voter identification card or Aadhaar card
  • Landlord NOC (Format to be given)
  • If the property is rented, a copy of the rental agreement
