In the event that medical care is not sufficient to restore a person's health and ability to work, the plan provides all eligible employees with comprehensive medical care. Benefits for sickness: Employees are permitted a maximum of 91 days of absence from work owing to illness, as well as 70% of their monthly salary.
Dependent benefits: In the event that an employee passes away unexpectedly while working, their dependents will be given 90% of the deceased employee's monthly wage.
Funeral expenses: The family of a deceased employee is entitled to an additional Rs. 10,000 for these costs.
Confinement expenses: In the event that an insured woman or the employee's wife becomes confined and no medical services are available, confinement fees may be claimed under the ESI programme.
